Costly Withdrawal Is the Price To Be Paid for a Foolish War

The Forward published an article about an adhoc exit strategy by a classical withdrawal. The author closes with the following words:

For misleading the American people, and launching the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 B.C sent his legions into Germany and lost them, Bush deserves to be impeached and, once he has been removed from office, put on trial along with the rest of the president's men. If convicted, they'll have plenty of time to mull over their sins.

You can disagree about the conclusions made in the articles regarding the withdrawal but for me it´s incomprehensible how President Bush was able to avoid an impeachment so far for all the errors, mistakes and fooleries on his account (incompetent management of the hurrican disaster, transforming a balanced budget in a deeeeep red one, war in iraq, dazzeling dumb memos (jokes with Blair are something for the restroom between the press conferences, misleading people not only in the US but to a lesser extend throughout the world … )
