Larry Ellison: 'We are the only one'

Oracle mag uns anscheinend doch noch ….

Sun also rises
I think their (Sun Microsystems Inc) new hardware – their dual core machines – can be arranged into some lovely grids.
Solaris is a superb piece of technology, but we’re (also) seeing Sun now embrace Linux – I think that’s very important
By the way, we have four huge Sun 25000s that we’ve just bought that are in a grid that runs our global single-instance database. I’ve seen newspaper articles saying that Oracle sees no future for Sun – it’s just nonsense.
We think it can do a very good job of delivering hardware and the operating system in grids, both Solaris grids and Linux grids, (and) it delivers a level of service that most of the typical PC manufacturers aren’t yet able to do.
So I think Sun has a promising future.
